Another step closer to completion...

Yay....the custard yellow walls have been eradicated from the dining room at last!!!

It's amazing how colour affects your mood. The dining room is so much brighter and (I hope) elegant now the wallpaper is up. Just new wall lights to get. The curtains have been delivered but not even opening the box until the threat of dust has gone. Industrial cleaners coming in on Friday and another day next week that's still to be arranged.

The previous owner had a real liking for blue and yellow as a colour scheme and whilst it wasn't hideous much it wasn't for us. By the end of today the painters will be on the last of the glossing and be ready to tackle the last (and biggest) job - the hall, stairs and landing and when that's finished, we'll have done every room in the house apart from the main living room as it has William Morris Thistle wallpaper, which I love.

The builders are completely done apart from some little bits of snagging to sort. Soon (thank god!) we will have the place to ourselves and be able to get the rest of our stuff unpacked and sorted and settled properly.

2nd router arrived and it's still not working!!! David has been on to Sky and BT again and BT engineer is coming out tomorrow between 8am and 1pm and I will not be letting him leave until I have Broadband!!!!!!!
