Having enjoyed a fabulous wedding in Ayr yesterday, in beautiful weather with Scottish hospitality and the best band I've ever heard for a lively evening it was a case of a steady drive south back home today.

Even warmer weather greeted us at home and the first job was to water the plants.

Close to Dumfries we saw 6 birds of prey in the sky. As always this means a quick pull over onto the grass verge and grab the camera. The buzzard were calling to each other but I was attracted to the 2 red kites. We don't see them on my patch so this was a nice fly past.
