My mum, a lifelong smoker, always referred to cigarette ends as dimps - I haven't heard that term for years.

Passed these on the way out tonight.
As I stopped to photograph them my husband said "What are you doing?"

"Go on ahead," I said, "I'll catch you up - you wouldn't understand!"
