Creeking

Driven indoors

The inclement weather arrived with a blast. Fortunately we had some notice and I managed to squash all delicate container plants and seedlings into the greenhouse.
Hubby dashed round filling the recycling bins so full that they would not blow away while they waited on our drive for collection. As the wind increased I looked out of the window and saw my poor roses being battered.
They had survived being dug out of the garden and put into pots while our building work was completed. We nurtured them and they repaid us by surviving. The yellow one, particularly, has a wonderful perfume. ... and there they were being battered to bits.
I rushed outside and dragged them into the kitchen and the family were amused to see our new 'indoor rose garden'. We all enjoyed a coffee break in our beautiful scented kitchen. Just the sight of the roses lifted our spirits as the rain crashed and the wind blew. .. roll on summer so we can enjoy a cuppa in the real garden. (if the storm leaves us anything)
