what’s the (s)catch?

Along time ago this apparatus used to be called ‘Scatch’.  Now it’s called something like ‘summer beach ball game set ….’.

We played this on holiday in Australia and I’d forgotten how much fun I could have throwing a ball at Anniemay.  So I bought one this morning, and we played with it.  But not on the beach.
