Shy Squirrel

Tired of trying for a photograph of an impressive banana spider, I walked on down the pier to spy this little fellow. He was so certain of his hiding place. After all, he was simply another bump on a friendly oak tree. Except for that eye... That bright and watchful orb was irresistibly visible to my camera lens. I photographed his escape when I walked around the tree, but this is the one I love. This is the moment I fully understand.
