Sharing the joy
It is Day 3 of Corbridge Chamber Music Festival. We entertained friends to lunch. It went well although I had great difficulty resisting the pudding which was apricot rice meringue!
This afternoon we heard an illustrated lecture Brahm's Indian Summer. Richard Wigmore, presenter, writer, musicologist, talked about Brahm's later clarinet works and we heard excerpts from the clarinet trio and the clarinet quintet. Brilliant!
Here he is sharing a joke with Alice Neary of the Goulds after the concert.
We are at home for a quick cup of tea and return for the closing concert: Telemann's Trumpet Concerto, Brahms Clarinet Trio, Faure's Piano Trio in D minor and Sain-Saens Speturo in E flat for trumpet, piano, string quartet and double bass.
We are very lucky to be part of this.
