Sunset on Nairn Beach

An interesting day at the orienteering. The car park field suffered with the rainfall and the high volume of traffic. Although we allowed plenty of time we sat in a traffic jam for nearly an hour. Officials had to allow a punching start rather than the proposed timed starts due to the high numbers delayed on their journey.

The afternoon weather was good and a number of competitors who had waded round and through marshes on their courses enjoyed a paddle in the river after the finish. Richard finished with a rather muddy orienteering suit as he had fallen over in one of the marshes near the finish.

Stephen and I enjoyed an evening stroll on Nairn beach taking in the Sunset en route.
