Pye Flatt Meadow

A beautiful evening last night so we decided to go to see if we could find the Broad leaved Helleborine (orchids) that Brian had photographed and shared on his Facebook page.  The meadows are extensive, but I knew he'd found them by following one of the paths through the meadow and I was lucky enough to find three of them growing towards the edge of one of the fields.  Ann meanwhile was elsewhere in the meadow so didn't see them.  She waited for me on the seat that's made out of old farm machinery.


A visit and lunch with a friend at the Wortley Arms.  A visit to the doctors for Ann - it looks like she will not be driving for 6 months (at least) - more tests today. She feels  and looks fine at the moment though and I'm not worrying too much
