Shanghai old town

This morning we visited the Jade Buddha temple and the Yu gardens. Both are very traditional in nature which made a nice change from the modern skyscrapers. We then went to a silk factory where we saw how silk is made and had the opportunity to buy some silk products. Our final stop of the day was the Shanghai copy market which sells a lot of fake items (fake designer handbags, watches etc). It was definitely a new experience as you have to haggle prices and have to be very stubborn about the amount you're willing to pay! We had an early dinner and then got on the sleeper train to Beijing.
