Sunbathing Syrphid

Not a good year for the insect photos this year. In previous years I have had to choose which kind of Syrphid fly to blip there were so many different types buzzing around. I think the dreadful wet and cold summer has done them no favours this year. During a sunny break in the rain I nipped out and caught this Syrphid fly drying out on a leaf.
