'Fun on the Beach'

A disappointing day weatherwise, bit it didn't deter us. We packed up a picnic and made our way to the beach. A lot of sea mist, and quite windy and cold..but we had our lunch and coffee in St.Helen's Gardens at Holywell..a bit of rain..we just ignored it! Then down to the beach! The tide was out, so the boys enjoyed a couple of hours of rock pooling
and looking for fossils.

Later, tea, cake and ice creams at the Holywell Tea Chalet....the sun made a few brief appearances.

In the evening after the two little ones had gone to bed we all watched a film..called 'Soul Surfer'...a true story set in Hawaii..about a young surfer, Bethany Hamilton, who lost an arm in a shark attack but continued to become a surfing champion. Lovely day!
