'The Tale or Tail of Bertha'

The garden is a mess...but hopefully will recover after the arrival of the 'tailend of Bertha'. The tale here is that the Bramley Apple tree has been well and truly whipped! It was heavy with fruit this year....so hopefully there are enough left to carry on growing for a couple more weeks. On the other hand, Dahlia Purple Gem has stems broken and has been split from all sides.....even though well staked. Oh well, the joys of gardening I suppose!
