A Kestrel on the Fringes

Wandered up to the Royal Mile to snaffle some shots of the start of the Fringe, but while sometimes I quite like the melée that ensues, today wasn't one of those days. Fortunately as I retreated back down Johnstone Terrace to head back to the office I spotted a kestrel, using the underside of the Tattoo stands on the castle esplanade as a perch to hunt below.

Nice half hour that was watching.
