Thatching

One lone man is cleaning the thatch on the old Dutch farmhouse behind our house, he works from early morning until almost dark in the evenings and has clearly been doing this kind of work for years. In safety terms his ladders and supports seem precarious to say the least - I can hardly watch when he is moving about for fear he suddenly plummets off the roof
