Free Fruit

Our back fence helps keep the blackberry vines at bay -- with occasional pruning required -- but we're getting a great crop of berries this year without having to leave home.

Cynthia picks the more accessible ones and I stand on a small stool to extend my longer reach even further. The vines are very prolific, but the berries tend to be rather small -- I think because of the lack of rain. I'm not complaining -- they still taste great.
