Arnside looking South
We have escaped for a few days and taken the caravan down to one of our favourite parts if the county. OK for the pedants I know part of it is Lancashire. We are in the Arnside & Silverdale area.
After an unhurried start we arrived late mid afternoon. Got settled in and had a meal. In the evening we had a run out to Arnside looking for the type of sunset Gladders manages to capture so often and so well. Sadly there was far too much cloud.
After getting back to the van we had a short walk to Hawes Water (no not that one)! Haws Water the largest lake in Lancashire (or so the internet said) by lake district standards a tarn. Very pretty and such clear water, looking down off the jetty we could see a pike about 2 -2 1/2 feet long.
