Go with the flow

A busy day on Sunday was followed by a full day on Monday.

One of my friends had got tickets (these 2-for-1 offers are excellent value) for three shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and had invited me through for the day. The first show started at 10am and the third ended around 10.20pm, so I left the house to travel through to Edinburgh just after 8am and didn't get home until midnight. 

However, the shows were very good (one was excellent) and were extremely varied in content, which made for a most enjoyable day - as was catching up with my friend and her husband.

We had several hours of free time in the mid- to late-afternoon so, before dinner, we took a walk along a stretch of the Water of Leith where we saw this swan and his / her mate just as the sun peeked from behind the clouds and gave us some marvellous reflections on the water.
