The calm
(Backblip - before the 'storm'.)
Didn't take many photo's today for some reason. This lone tree and swing caught my eye on the pre-breakfast walk. The scene is curiously flat given we're in the peak district - that's because we're on the top of the hill behind Matlock.
We were a bit surprised to find football pitches up here, but then that makes sense as I doubt there's any flat land in Matlock itself.
The afternoon was spent in Coventry sorting out M's house, and taking apart a shed with an angle-grinder.

Reading Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson currently and starting to notice more oddities in the English language - like why do we pronounce "alm" arrm?
