Yellow orchid

This flower has been out for months.  I am continually amazed at how they retain their looks for so long.  It became the subject of my blip today when I realised that darkness was nearly upon me, and I hadn't taken a single shot all day.  I thought about the camera once or twice, but mostly it was raining, and not the exciting kind of ran, just dull, misty, low visibility crud. 

The upside was that it wasn't cold, and we braved the light drizzle this afternoon to plant some bare rooted magnolias that arrived yesterday.  Perfect conditions for their acclimatisation to our garden.
