Last night, after all the excitement of the fire, we had a little celebration to mark my exam results. I had been given a wooden box containing three rather special bottles of red wine by a grateful father, whose son had just received an A for his AS exams. (See extra photograph.)

A little research revealed that this particular wine, considered to be the second best Ribera del Duero in Spain, can be ordered online from a vintner in Colorado for $250 a bottle, or much more reasonably from El Corte Inglés in Puerto Banús for a mere 105 euros each!

It was good.

But not that good.
