Abandoned on Eigg

It's been a lovely warm and sunny day, there was a shower at lunchtime but soon passed quickly :)

Into Mallaig early this morning to catch the ferry.  The ferry seemed like a mini cruise, first arriving at Rum, then Canna, Muck and finally to Eigg.  We have a few days here on Eigg and lets hope the weather stay this great.  We also got to watch a pod of dolphins swim next to the ferry.  After a walk across the isle, we finally found our B&B for the trip.  Got settled in and explored around the north end of the isle.  Only 95 people live here and everyone on the island is talking about the ceilidh on tonight in the hall, after a band from Ghana play.  Think we might be in for a good night and well planned for our trip here :)

What stunning island so far and will get to explore more tomorrow.  For the mean time, I managed to find this old abandoned croft and had a peep inside too.  I do love the back drop of the high rugged hills here and great to get a tree next to the croft too.  As I was here, a Golden Eagle soared past but was too far for my lens.  Taken at Cleadale, Eigg.
