New Barbeque
Last night I heard that my friend who was in the hospice had passed away – a sad time for everyone, but especially her sister as they were very close.
We all slept late this morning, but TT was keen to get up to wield his new boy toy – a mega hedge trimmer. He spent a good part of the day trimming the hedges at the front. We have a huge beech hedge and a smaller privet. BB provided some help. I started to catch up on my back blipping.
In the afternoon we all headed to the tip with bags of trimmings before a trip to one of my least favourite shops – if you can call it a shop – B&Q. When they were there yesterday, they had been looking at gas barbeques (another boys toy). We have talked about getting one for a while and today was the day. We left with said item and then headed to the supermarket as we were to be bbq-ing for tea.
However, when we got home, TT realised it would take him hours to put it all together so he had to head off and get some charcoal. Alongside out bbq-ed delights I made some coleslaw with a very small part of the gigantic cabbage.
BB is now watching his new DVD and I am trying to warm up after sitting outside in the cold wind.
Here is TT with all the bits unwrapped and laid out on the back grass. The charcoal bbq is to his right (and is the thumbnail) – and it is just getting going! There was a lot of packaging with the new one.
