Kinver Rock Houses revisited.

When we passed the Holy Austin Rock House last week we did not have our National Trust membership cards with us but we thought that the houses were interesting enough to warrant another visit. So today we returned and as soon as we arrived in Kinver the heavens opened.

We sat in the car for a while but it was obvious that the rain was here for the day so, like the heroes that we are, we grabbed an umbrella and braved the weather.

This picture shows the Martindale Caves which are behind the gate on the right hand side of my blip of the 11th June. The house has been restored to show life at the Rock Houses during the 1930s, when the Reeves family lived here. Apparently visitors can explore the home, handle objects, try on clothing and find out about the family. The clothing is in a basket on the floor of a bedroom but we didn't try anything on, nor did we handle any objects, thank you.
