Eating Apple

We seem all of a sudden to have gained quite a few wasps and going down to the bottom the the garden the reason was apparent. Our eating apple tree isn't looking too healthy and the wasps have taken advantage, burrowing into the holes. They don't seem to mind me watching and weren't upset at all when I picked this one up and put it in the sunshine for more light.

I found this fascinating because the wasp is using it's mandibles for not only scraping away the flesh of the apple but also for rolling it into balls which were piling up in a little corner of the skin.
