Hello Spring!

A beautiful warm, sunny day today. Although the official start to Spring is still a fortnight away, there are  many signs that it is already underway. The birds in particular are busy hunting for mates, building nests and singing their hearts out. Buds are swelling, daffodils blooming and some trees are covered in blossom already. It seems only a few days ago we shivered in heavy frosts.

This blip is another sign of spring and Australian Blippers will recognise it immediately. The wattle has flourished in New Zealand - like many Australian plants, and makes a great show in early spring.
