Gathering In

Had a nice long walk with the dogs this morning - it was cool when we set off but I was quite warm towards the end. Walked along the edge of a maize field - the cobs are developing nicely - all different stages though!

Loads of blackberries developing too - so I must start going out with a rucksack and tupperware pot soon!

We came across this scene (still not a combine - almost there). I liked the way it was foraging the mown grass. I took the shot with the old mill in the background - and the bonus is the red kite flying past.

I have included an extra shot of Katie today. I had stopped to look at the maize and she carried on when she realised I wasn't with her she came trotting back to check on me!
