And we're off ... see you later volcanos

After a leisurely breakfast we head to the airport to start our journey. Bali is open and our plane arrives, we board and it leaves just about on time. At Bali we have to collect our baggage and head from the domestic to the international lounge where we go to the AirAsia desk. It appears whoever we spoke to on the phone yesterday did what they promised and we are already on the standby list for the 5.40pm flight today. Luckily there are about 20 free seats so they don't make us wait and check us in straight away ... easy. 

We board the flight on time and, unfortunately, its a bumpy one so by the time we make it to Singapore a few hours later, the last thing Andy wants to do is get on another plane. But the alternative is to head into Singapore at night and find a hotel ... not really so difficult but also not that appealing either so we pick our bags up again and head to the Singapore Airlines desk. Its now nearly 9pm. Our original flights had been at 1am on the 15th ... its full but they say there's a plane leaving at 11.30pm tonight and there is space on that so that's it ... we're going home and on an earlier flight than originally planned!  Lets hope its a smooth ride and we can get some sleep.
