Did our minister a favour on Sunday by leading worship and allowing her to attend a friend's wedding. So my pulpit supply fee was paid by her, rather than the church.

The cheque arrived accompanied by this card showing Daleks trying to board a bus. Inside, the minister said she'd added a little more than the standard pulpit supply fee and that I should treat myself to a few bottles of Bitter & Twisted. Who am I to turn down an invitation like that, especially coming from a member of the clergy?
