Leoganger Steinberge

We spent the night in the carpark of the Asitzgipfelbahn in Leogang, where campervans can park for 9 Euros. It's basic. but there are toilets and showers, so what more do you need?. There had been a little thunder overnight and there was a little residual low cloud and mist in front of the imposing wall of the Leoganger Steinberge. It was another good day and we spent it up the hills to the south. We went to Saalfelden in the afternoon, so S could have a swim, and stumbled across the end of the first stage of the TransAlp challenge. This is an epic 600 km race with huge amounts of climb, mostly off road that this year started in Austria and went to Italy. We were lucky in that they were in the Leogang hills the following day.
