Home is where the heart is
And so my trip away came to an end today.
With just two hours sleep, it was always going to be a painful flight back and seeing Elmo hunting for something to be sick into upon boarding the plane, summed up our mood.
Still, after a few beers on the plane, we started to feel human again and Homeward bound (in ash's case, pub bound).
I would say it has been my greatest ever lads holiday I have ever had. Perhaps being older now, you appreciate it more and take it in but the laughs we had and the carefree approach to each day, will last with me for a long time.
Ibiza is still the place I fell in love with in the 90's and early 00's. Some areas have become a little more chavvy than back then but the likes of mambo's etc will never be spoilt. Overall it is a beautiful island with so much history that caters for everyone.
Wonderful moment getting out the taxi and having the girls pounce on me! The looks on their faces meant I was definately missed and the looks on their faces was a bit special when handing out my pressies. The boy was asleep and seemed a bit annoyed with me when he woke up but he will get over it.
Admittedly I was useless this afternoon and hit the wall big time. It all caught up with me and sleeping was all I could do.
Big big thank you to the wife. I know many wouldn't let their husbands go away like that and that just shows how special she is. Love you babe, back to normal tomorrow.
Ibiza 2012...done.
