Fathers day

A day of ups and downs! Couldn't have started any better when I got my fathers day present...an iPad!!!! Although the wife thought I wasn't particularly grateful, I was and I am and think it is fantastic, if a little pricey!

The house then turned into a war zone with the kids being truly awful. Constantly arguing and being naughty and at one stage I think the wife and i both considered just waking out:(

Couldn't get in anywhere for fathers day so wandered round town and stumbled across a restaurant called wildwood. A lovely setting and lovely food (although the wife wasn't impressed with the food) and the kids were a pleasure to be with, at last!!

Took them to the town and country fair on parkers piece on the way home which they loved and again behaved impeccably. A milestone was made watching the bear going on rides by himself for the first time. He wasn't sure about them to start with but we had to drag him away in the end! Eeeeeee!!!!

Watched the Dutch crash out of the euros this evening, which is always amusing.

Overall, a lovely day and thank you to my family for everything x x x x
