Finally, the holidays have arrived (for me at least... the +3s have been on holiday for weeks already) and what better way to start the holidays than by getting up at 3am to get the 6:30am ferry to Calais followed by a marathon and slightly meandering drive through France to Switzerland.

Fortunately the view at the end of it all was worth it, and a massive improvement on the weather we arrived to last year.
