One of the most striking features of both Thunersee and Brienzersee is the amazing milky blue colour from the glacial water. Fortunately at this time of year the lakes have heated up a bit and are a pretty tolerable 20°C - unless you happen to dive down a bit, and then it's pretty chilly!

First proper day meant a trip to Lidl, a mooch around the campsite and a swim in the lake (with post-swim ice-cream, of course).

No internet (of course) and hideous prices but the scenery does rather make up for it... 

Time to see if the K-5ii is as splash-proof as advertised.
