One Shot Wonder

A busy day ... just took the one photo.

Morning started with a short trip to friends who have bought the big house round the corner from where we stay.  They have a tumble-down fence that my brother is going to repair, he's also now a local and this was an introductory visit.  Then to see a chalet in Tywyn where we might have stayed in future ... if the owner had not discovered that the deeds do not allow him to sub-let :-(  It did set us thinking about buying one of our own though.

After lunch a spell at Rhydyronen station undercoating the bench before taking Ruth to the railway paint store.  She is preparing a special headboard for the railway ... all will be revealed in due course.  While we were there I grabbed this shot of Dolgoch simmering quietly in a siding as Douglas ( as Duncan) steams past with the last up train of the day.  

The rain has returned this evening.  The forecast for the next four days is more of the same so there could be a few more one shot wonders to come.
