1st Day

It was The Cygnets first day at primary school today.
He was excited.
We were excited.
It was well organised with (I think) only one child in tears.
Each 'new start' had been allocated a 'buddy' who will show them the ropes.
There was no half day.
It was a good, enjoyable day apparently....... as backed up by the scuffed toes on the new shoes, dirty trouser knees and pasts stains on the shirt.

Meanwhile, Squirrel came with us to the zoo.
The only animals she insisted on going to see were the tigers. Spotting the sleeping one took a minute (although I am sure the other visitors must have been blind because nobody else seemed to spot it until I pointed out to Squirrel).
The lion was easier to spot - although some people still had problems!
The Sun Bear has a most impressive tongue - whilst the baboons have an unhealthy fascination with each others bums.
