Reiver

Up at the crack of early for a long day in the garage. The third drawer was released from its clamps and in spite of my best efforts is slightly squinty. Only a little but enough to be annoying and to send me to Google to look for a solution.

It's the most under-appreciated thing about the web - regardless of the issue or problem, there's a Youtube video or a website that has already solved it and sure enough it turns out that gluing small items to be square and flat is depressingly simple. I may break up the others and do them again.

With number 4 glued and clamped, the rest of the afternoon was spent sharpening chisels, planes and spokeshaves. There's something very satisfying about a chisel sliding through oak.

Finally, before jumping on a bus/train to Edinburgh to talk shite in the Cafe Royal, I built a cross-cut sled for the table saw. One of those useful things that has been intended for a while. Friday's job is to correct the 0.84mm of misalignment.
