Glad not to be a student!

Today I drove down to Ayr for the NTS annual Head Gardeners' Meeting. This is usually held at a college or university to take advantage of the fairly cheap accommodation. 

This time we're at the University of the West of Scotland and I couldn't resist Blipping my room as an example of the most basic sleeping accommodation known to man! The only facilities were a small bag of toiletries, a waste paper bin and a student manual. I had to fold the wafer-thin pillow in order to get to sleep! But the upside was the price - it was fairly cheap!

We had an afternoon of lectures and presentations and after dinner settled down at our tables for an evening of chat over a glass of wine and several glasses of water!
