Work in progress

This is a part of the new stained glass window at MUC.

It is a window dedicated to Eric Liddell. The lady in the red Mac is Eric Liddell's daughter and next to her is the stained glass artist Christian Shaw. In front of them is an assembled panel as well as progress pictures of the panels.

Soon they will be replacing one of the clear windows. Because of the sepia and light glass we hope that it will still let the sunshine in (when the sun is shining that is, no chance of that today!!!)

Stained glass is still held together with lead and too much exposure to lead leads to lead poisoning. I'm told that it builds up over time and then suddenly makes an appearance, especially if you have just been to a fairground ride - is it to do with the centrifugal forces? It sounds like not a nice condition but is treatable if detected early and probably somehow inevitable if you are a stained glass artist.
