Another new moo

This wee calf was born yesterday, and was enjoying walking around the paddock in the warmth of the sun.  It's mum was right beside it, keeping an eye on where it was going - and what I was doing.

There seems to be a huge number of Kea around this afternoon.  I counted 13 flying from tree to tree, probably hoping to find something to eat.  They are nosy and noisy birds; we are hoping that they will return to the alpine areas of the South Island where they belong.
