Another opening of another show!
Setting up for the Cumbria Classic Car Show. Unlike many of the trade stands we chose to set up the marquee the night before the show. Most of the traders and virtually all the cars were due to arrive the next day.
Looking out from the marquee, before the heavens opened, this was the view. We were lucky to have got set up and snug inside the caravan watching a DVD before the Thunder and Lightening began,
If you are interested the vehicle is a 1960 Series 2 Land Rover which began its life with British Aircraft Corporation at Preston. Since then it has worn out several 2 1/4 L engines been converted to 3L Perkins, and had the inside converted to a 1950s camper. Quite an interesting machine.
