Red Admiral
A morning on indoor administrative type jobs and answering emails. After lunch it was into the garden.
The task we had set ourselves required quite a bit of hardish physical work. As a result a good number of tea breaks were required. During one of these I a Red Admiral basking on a stone slab near the Buddleja.
Due to the time of year I "pruned" it our Buddleja has been slow to flower this year. I am not sure if our lack of butterflies has been due to the late flowering or just a bad butterfly year. All I have seen (and most of those toady) have been a few whites, a couple of Tortoiseshell, the Red Admiral and 3 Peacocks.
