Scotts Baronial
One of the interesting facts I learned during a "book lovers" tour of Edinburgh was that the term Scotts Baronial does not refer to the Scottishness of the architecture but instead Sir Walter Scott. Scott was a lawyer in Edinburgh as well as a famous novelist. He built himself an extravagent home on the profits of his writing, the unusual design of which inspired Queen Victoria to build Balmoral, architects in Edinburgh and Disney's fairytale castle logo.
This photo was taken in the steets around my sons' flat in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh on, as you can see, another sunny day in Scotland
