Katy did... katy didn't

This is actually from yesterday as I only  saw the outside world today getting into my car to go to work and come home. This is why we wonder if taking a vacation is worth it ( it is, I'd be really crazy if I didn't). But  it was such a neat looking grasshopper I decided to try to figure out what kind it was, and much to my surprise, it is a fork tailed bush katydid. I've never actually seen a katydid before! I always thought they were smaller like crickets! He sat on the marigold for quite a long time, intermittently cleaning his antennae. Very fastidious . So for lack of anything today , and as he was such a neat bug , today is yesterday for now.
