Winter whites

This photograph was taken on my evening walk. The tree died some years ago and was blown down during one of last year's winter gales and I'm delighted to see how the lilies have popped up between the sun bleached branches. There were less lilies than usual this year perhaps because the rain came so late and it's been relatively dry - but those that have popped up are wonderful.
