Icicle Gorge

Today, in an attempt to get out of the smoky conditions caused by the Washington forest fire, we drove up to Leavenworth and hiked the Icicle Gorge trail. The trail is a 4-mile-loop on either side of Icicle creek and quite easy. I enjoyed being close to the creek and and being out of the smoke. In years past, there would be salmon in the creek but we didn't see any. With the low snow pack and the warm temperatures, I just don't think the salmon are making it up this far.
