Autumn cometh

Even to the South Manchester suburbs.

The extra photo today is about the controversial subject of immigration.

Are there any streams and rivers left in England which do not have Himalayan Balsam flourishing on their banks. The attempts to control it have been no more successful than those of the Home Office to control another kind of immigration.

Our traditional countryside is being transformed. Perhaps our grandchildren will regard all these aliens as "normal" but for some of us -- well we have our memories of chilhood walks.
