Challenge Wales

Because it has been such a lovely day here, my beloved and I decided to spend the afternoon at Penarth on the outskirts of Cardiff Bay. Whilst looking at a slightly hazy Flatholm Island through my binoculars , I saw a large yacht passing in front of the island. I soon realised that this was Challenge Wales, a 72 foot steel hulled racing yacht which has taken place in many races worldwide including two round the world races. Designed by Robert Humphries and built by Devonport Yachts in 2000,  she is now mainly used for youth training. Quite a magnificent sight!
