Olive
The kids seem determined to get on the wrong side of me at the moment. They are succeeding in their aim.
Fed up with them, I had a pre-dinner calm down and wander in the garden. My initial feelings of depression at all the work still to do were lifted slightly when I strolled by the tree that we discovered in some recent slashing of undergrowth, that we thought might be an olive tree; well, it had the right leaves. Today's sighting of an actual olive fruit confirms it. Only the one, but confirmation regardless.
So, despite all the work still to do, we have had some small victories.
Too hot to work outside today, though that didn't stop Malcolm our garden slasher who has uncovered practically a whole new garden that I'd forgotten about under the brambles. Suddenly the size of our plot has gone from comfortable to intimidating...
With outdoors off-limits, I made a top. It's ok, and I'll make it again once the neck and shaping have been fiddled with a bit. And tonight Mr B and I had a very long conversation about cars, during which our previous "We'll do A or B" decision has now been changed to "We'll do A or C or D or E". I guess that's progress of a kind.
