Dawn chorister

The chill was in the air this morning, and the frost was on the ground in Porirua. Fortunately I had my warm running gear and gloves, and I was only moderately cold when I got back to the motel. The dawn chorus was in full flow as I ran along the east bank of the Kenepuru Stream; the first time I have been able to as the safety work has been completed and the barriers removed.

An interesting and varied day and then a pleasant flight back to Auckland. Sharing the cabin with a number of parliamentarians, whose week in Wellington finished in time for them to get on this flight. I kept my nose in my book throughout.
